I don't think chase will give you a CLI right after activation, but they have always told me a CLI by the customer is a HP

Yes you can request and depending many have had great success (especially slate for BT) but it will be another HP unless they pulled 2 during approval than usually won't cost you a 3rd.

Yes, it will be a HP. I was approved at Chase yesterday, called a CR to verify my starting limit, and I did ask him about CLI's. He said they will always be Hard Pulls, even after activation.

I received a Chase IHG card 8/14 with a 2k limit (they pulled EX and EQ). I called and asked for a CLI at activation, they said it would be a HP, abd it was approved for a CLI to 7k. They never did the HP for the CLI and I presumed it was because they did 2 HP's at the time of application.

Hmm, I thought the min limit for the IHG was $5,000.
