CHASE SAPPHIRE PREFERRED!

How hard is it to get the Chase Sapphire Preferred card?  Typically what kind of credit profile gets approved for this card?  I currently have a TU score of 693 and a little on the high utilization currently because of a pet emergency that came up, BUT, even with that I was just approved for a Discover It card with a $6k limit and approved for the AMEX Green card.  I really like what the Chase Sapphire Preferred offers and really want this card.  So I'm just reaching out to ask how hard is it to get.

Thank you ahead of time for your responses and any feedback I can get as to what to do to put me in a situation to get this card.

They seem to pull EX/TU a lot. So...what's your EX look like?

Also, what about your AAoA?

You can go to the Chase website and see what cards you're preappoved for.

Re: CHASE SAPPHIRE PREFERRED!

A 700+ Experian FICO score is best for the CSP. That combined with a moderately thick file and no history of burning Chase (or any other reason for being on Chase's Black List) will almost guarantee you approval for the card. Low income could be another reason for denial, but students with low income and posted about approvals on this forum before.

A Experian FICO score of 660 or so might be enough with a thick file and positive history with Chase. Below 660-670 is unlikely and above 700 is very likely. As always, issuers have their own formula and things besides credit scores can result in approvals or denials. Anything here is just score ranges that people seem to get approved or denied at. A score of 700+ with a thick credit file (well established credit history) is generally enough to get any card (as long as income and other risk factors support it). Chase generally pulls Experian so the FICO score based on the Experian report is most valuable.

I'm not too sure what my EX score looks like but I can look it up.

I'm new to the message board so I'm not familiar with AAoA.  What is that?

Are you talking about a one time experience or is this regular? Could it just be your region? I know some banks double pull in some regions (Citi ALWAYS double pulls me even though they don't for most). If Chase is double pulling now that will suck.
