How strict is the underwriting for the Chase United card?
All 3 of my scores are between 680-700 right now, utilization is at about 30% and I have 2 new cards in the past 6 months.
I was looking at the United card when I apped for the CSP a few months ago. My research indicated that they are looking for an average of 720ish. I went with CSP because I got the pre-approval on Chase and can transfer UR points seamlessly to United.
Some people in the 640-50ish range have gotten it.. Indicators are is it is one of their easier cards to get like the SWA card. I personally think you would be fine in that score range. Obviously others factors go into play other than score such as your whole credit profile.

They are not very strict. Do you have any chase card now? Do you have any baddie on your reports?
No baddies and I have the Chase Freedom, CSP, Amazon and Marriott cards.
You will be fine as long as you haven't hit their internal limit and utilization on any given card is relatively low. As any thing with the CC thing nothing is guranteed, but I think you have a very good chance.

Dont think its that difficult to get. Was recently approved with a 720ish but I havent read much to indicate thats the ideal score for this card, have seen a few get it with lower scores. If you go for it check Uniteds website first and compare. The offer there was a bit better than whats on Chase website. GL
checked today cause they have a targeted 50k offer for some I read, nope not part of that pool
.. Although was targeted by mail 4 months ago, but that offer since expired. 30k or 50k hmm, not much thought there whether to wait for card for me personally.
I've seen the bonus miles for this at 50k before. Do they usually do this offer at a certain time of the year every year or do they have the special offer completely random?
