Re: CHASE freedom denial!

I have a Chase Freedom, it was a double pull: TU and EX. My CK scores were much lower than yours, but they were not real close to my fico. I suggest you order a 3B repot to know where you truly stand.

Every Chase app has resulted in a pull on EX and TU for me. It's not because you recon'd

Same for me. I was double pulled by EX and TU for the Freedom. Luckily my approval was instant.

Re: CHASE freedom denial!

This may be irrelevant, but I had the same situation with Barclay's last Summer. I was denied for the Arrival after being pre Selected on their old pre qualify site. Did a recon the next day and was given attitude by the Supervisor, after I told her I was not interested in a second HP. Of course they HP'd me anyways with second denial.

Chase pre qual site worked for me and is pretty solid

Re: CHASE freedom denial!

Thank you guys for your advice! I was thinking that may be it would be better to have my personal banker at my local Chase branch to call them and help me with that-what do u think guys? or I should try once more on my own first?

Btw I called one more time today morning but the person who pesponded was the same who did the recon last time and I hung up. Do you know if there is a recon center in each State or just one that serves the whole US? I was surprised that it happened to be the same person. (I am in San Diego in CA now for a meeting but I am going back to TX tonight so I was thinking that if I call from TX i might be more lucky with the recon center).

I'd go in a Chase Branch and have the banker call on your behalf.  Also, getting the same rep happens once in a blue moon so certainly strage. Remember, they work in shifts.  So if you call in the evening, you will get someone else.

But go in the branch and have the banker call.  Will keep fingers crossed for you.

Re: CHASE freedom denial!

Ive been trying to get that chase freedom card myself. I was prequalified for that and the slate on their website but because of my pretty short credit history (2 months) I am hesitant to try for it now.

Re: CHASE freedom denial!

That is a tough call. Chase is a very solid prequal. I am surprised they gave you that with only 2 months. Is the 2 months open accounts only, do you have any closed accounts on file?

Re: CHASE freedom denial!

Yeah good luck hopefully it turns out well for you, they can be pretty decent for a recon I've heard but don't get too bent out of shape about the double pull they probably did that from the very beginning, like others have said they commonly do a tu/ex double pull...I was instantly approved for $21k on the csp with scores over 800 and I got the same double pull
