CLI Wells Fargo and US Bank Hard pulls?

Hey guys, 

I am interested in CLI with Wells and US Bank.

I have 2 cards with US bank and 2 cards with Wells. 

Yesterday I pulled the trigger and got an immediate 5k CLI with one of the US bank cards. 

I know that YMMV with US bank on the SP vs HP, but I am guessing that it was a SP since it was immediate? Sistem didn't even flinch. 

Both cards have zero balance and my scores are 800+ on all bureaus at this time. 

I haven't checked my reports to see if they HP or SP. What are you guys using to check Transunion (besides CK) for daily? 

My question regarding US bank is if I should request a CLI with the other card I have with them as well? Or since I got a 5k CLI on one, I should let it be with the other card, especially if I want to avoid a HP? 

Now for Wells fargo, I have 3 cards with them and both have small balances with promos. Both less than 30% for each. 

First, I have to call for this correct? I can't find a link online for CLI

Second, is wells fargo a HP for sure these days ( I have read that you can call and see if they have a CLI with a SP, but wanted to corroborate with up to date info with you guys)

By the way: I was able to get CLI with Citi, Amex and US bank yesterday. Cap One and Discover Denied. Go figure.

I got a CLI from Wells Fargo last week. When I called in, I was asked to verify my identity, update my income on file, and how much my rent/mortgage is. I was asked what I wanted for a total credit line. I was then told that the request would be a soft pull and if for any reason it would be a hard pull, the rep would let me know before doing so. My CL request was denied but I was given a counter offer which I accepted. I was told that WF would send a letter in the mail about why my CL request was denied and to call back in 6 months for another CLI request.

The letter I got in the mail basically said that WF wouldn't give me a higher limit at this time unless I authorized a hard pull.

Regarding Aeon's reply, this was my exact CLI experience with WF a few months ago, also...

Well.. No luck here. 

Called and requested the CLI. 

Updated yr and mtg and said I will get a letter. Did not want to tell me if it was denied or approved, but they needed time to review. 

He reassured me that they will NOT be HP my credit with this review. 

More than likely denied and hope they don't actually HP me.

I keep my bureaus frozen.  I've gotten SP CLI's on all 4 cards within 15 day period with US Bank.  I've gotten multiple SP increases over 2 years with them.  Last attempt was denied stating unable to pull credit bureau.  Think I've hit my internal limit.  Can't help with WF as I got my first card with them this week.

I need to do this. Are you freezing all 3 bureaus for free? I haven't looked into this lately, but I need to do this asap. 

Also, when you unfreeze them to apply for something, is it instant of you have to give it time to unfreeze? Same for freezing, may I freeze and attempt the CLI right away?

Oh... which bureau did US bank soft pull for you?

I registered for the "free" accounts with all 3 bureaus as you don't need to remember PINs to freeze or in freeze.  When you want to in freeze accounts log in click un freeze and temporary and list dates you want to unfreeze.  Has always been instant for me.

I thought in the past U S Bank used Experian but last two times they attempted to pull Transunion but YMMV

US Bank is mostly known as a Transunion puller but depending upon which state you live in they may and have been known to sometimes pull from either Experian or Equifax instead.  They wil also sometimes pull from Sagestream as a secondary source.
