Hey hey! I have read a few posts about Bloomingdales approvals, but nothing that quite fits my situation. I am thinking about applying for a Bloomies card. I am fine with starting with a low balance. But I am not sure if I have a chance of being approved.
EX: 629
EQ: 664
TU: 689
income: 158,000
What do you all think? Thanks a million!

With income like that and decent scores on Eq and Tu im pretty sure you can find a better card out there unless you shop heavy there. Not bringing down the store card but sometimes people app one because they feel they only can be approved for a store card. If Bloomies is like Macys and are DSNB , which means Citi, most likely looking at a EX and Eq pull so it can be iffy. What other cards do you have and why is Ex so low?

Thanks for your response! I want to purchase something specific from Bloomingdales so I figured it might be a good time to get a retail card.
Right now I have 2 Cap one, two discover, and one first premiere.
I also have a BK that discharged in Jan 2019.
It's so weird that my EX score is so low. It's reporting the same as the other two. It's actually dropped a bit over time. One of my discos reported $700 a few months ago and my EX score dropped about 15 or 16 points after. The other two just a few points. I typically pay that card off in full every month - with the exception of that month. EX took a really hard hit from that.
Citi Retail Cards typically give a lower starting limit if you apply online versus in person. They state this is to deter fraud. Just a heads up.

Honestly, just getting the card for 1 time purchase isnt worth it. I think you should use your Disco to build history, if they accept it, and just keep improving your score. Let it rise and then apply for a card you want. You will better your chances and also not waste hps. If i could go back id be more selective on my apps
Thanks all! I wanted to purchase a Gucci wallet that my husband has been eyeing for YEARS for his bday. I wanted to somewhat pad the purchase but I ended up finding an even BETTER option! I purchased the wallet directly through Gucci and used Affirm, no interest, and paid for a little under half of the wallet on the front end, which was ideal for me. I'll pay off the remainder of the loan off at the end of the month. Won and done!
But the best part, again, NO INTEREST! Yay!
Congratulations on your Affirm Gucci Wallet Approval..
Congrats on your approval.
