Can't App for NAVY FCU CLI this morning, System Issues?!

Happy New Year everyone!!

I tried to app online for a Navy Cash Rewards CLI earlier this morning and received a message that they are having system issues. I don't think that the request went through. Any one else having similar NFCU online banking issues?

This stimulus check is causing issues with multiple bank institutions I'd imagine. People logging in and checking constantly to see if it has posted or not is causing abnormally high web traffic. 

The NFCU iPhone app started having issues for me starting two days ago.

They've been having issues with site and app for days. Along with message on both that call times are longer than normal.

As stated upthread, I'm sure many FI are swamped. You have stimulus and Social Security checks going out, along with unemployment issues in many states.

That is correct. I've even noticed similar messages with a few bank accounts as well.

It works fine for my friend who applied for a credit card with them today afternoon and got instantly approved.

The issues have been intermittent the past couple of days. Sometimes there's no issue, and the next says try again... system is experiencing technical issues.

I'm sure that will be expected for about a week.
