Cap One Platinum question

I have a Cap One Platinum and Quicksilver One CC.

My Platinum has a 2k limit and QS1 has 300 limit. How long should I wait before asking to convert the Platinum to a QS1 card for the rewards?

The QS1 that I have currently have with the 300 limit is hard to use because I max it weekly and then waiting  on payments to post is a bit aggravating.

Even if they don't PC you they will add the 1.5% rewards if you ask so it will be like a qs1 (rewards and annual fee).
