Cap1 7-10 Day Message

So after success today with Penfed (11.5k), I decided why not try for one more card. I used capital one's prequalifer a couple of days ago, and it showed offers for both the quicksilver and venture at 18%.  I decided to apply for the venture because of the signup bonus, and promply received the dreaded 7-10 days message for approval or denial.  So is there any hope?

Thanks for the response, that is what I am hoping for considering capital one's pre-qualifications are usually pretty good.  The one thing that happened during the application was my address came back as unverified, and a red message said I needed to manually enter it.  I live in a relatively new housing development and even google struggles with the address so maybe that is what created the problem.  I will update when I find out., fingers crossed.

That's what happened to my husband. All he had to do was verify that it was him

I got the 7-10 message as well with Cap 1. It wasn't for the venture, it was the QS1. Got a call that to verify it was me. I called for the status a couple of days later and was approved.

I wanted to update, called right before Christmas and the application status line still said pending.  I called the status line again today and it said approved, spoke to a rep to get the limit and approved for 15K.  This is matching my highest limit with NFCU.  I never received a phone call or had to send in any type of verification, so sort of strange but happy the 3 pulls were not in vain.
