I have a QS1 with a 3k limit that I have hammered for the 45 days I've had it. Ran about 6000 thru it and paid it down several times at 1200-1500 each time. Went through the automated phone system for CLI knowing that its too soon but thinking what the heck, if they dont offer much I wont accept it, and likely its too new an account anyway. System didn't give me that message, and asked for my annual income (120k), rent/mortgage payment (1800), and monthly spend on my card (I entered 9000 because what the heck.) It took all the information, submitted it and said that I would have an alert in the next two to three days.
Did this go to EO for review? I thought they typically just either denied it, or approved it. This one is new to me, I would think it might mean a significant limit increase? Wouldn't a denial would just be automatic?
Side Note: I also have a Cap1 Plat with a 1250 limit for over 3.5 years, never late. I've been hitting it hard and paying it off as well.

No its just a computer that goes over the account to see if your eligible and if so it will offer you a increase or not. Generally if your not approved for an increase instantly. Its basically a denial hands down. You will get a letter saying why they couldn't increase it. Mine generally say not enough usage which is correct for myself.

That's pretty much a denial, as your card is not eligible for a CLI yet. I'm signed up for electronic document delivery and I hit the CLI button all the time since it's just a SP. The reject letters show up in my documents the next day and tell me I wasn't approved because I'm not eligible yet.
Here is a link and quote directly from the CaptialOne FAQs:

Are all Capital One cards eligible for credit line increases?
Some accounts are typically not eligible for increased credit lines upon request, such as accounts that are less than three months old, and accounts that have received a credit line increase or decrease in the last six months.
While these types of accounts are usually ineligible for credit line increases upon request, other accounts are not guaranteed to be approved.
In your case, it's probably because your card is still "new". After my second statement cut on my Journey card, I tried for a CLI and low and behold, was approved. Granted, it was only $100, but still was nice to be thought of after only having the card for two months.
Thanks for the info guys, I'll look out for the denial, and check it again after my third statement.
