Cap1 QS1 in Credit Steps

Does Cap1 only give one cli at the 6 month mark or is there another at 1 yr?

my cap1 got the credit steps increase at 5months(ok the 6th month mark lol) and then ive been getting them every 6 months since then

The "Credit Steps" CLI is one and done.  Other automatic CLIs may occur but those aren't specific to the "Credit Steps" program with Capital One.

You can also manually request a CLI for a soft inquiry at any point, but you can't manually request one if you've gotten an actual manual CLI in the past 6 months.

So Credit Steps happens around month 5 or 6.  Automatic CLIs can happen at any point.  Manual CLIs can be requested any time, but if you get one, you can't request another one for 6 months on that card.

I have my 1 year mark coming up around the 6th of December. Hoping they finally give this $750 card a boost! Then I have another one that is $300, 6 month mark is end of January. I haven't had any PC options available or pre-quals. I would attempt for a new card, but not loving the idea of a triple pull. Really need to jump into the garden!

haha ABCD i have never gotten any cli other than every 6 months..

@mandm.. mine started at 300, up to 500 for the steps.. 6 months later 750, then 500 every 6 months after that until this past september when they gave me $2000! also it took me 3.5 years to get upgraded to QS, but it only took my bf whos new to credit 3 months to get the upgrade, go figure.

You won’t see any pre-approvals until the $300 is at 6 months. Have you hit the cli button on that one? I would try if you haven’t. I received my first increases on my Cap1 before the 6 month mark. This will not hinder your account if your on credit steps, you will still get that one too. After that, it will be every 6 months if eligible.

My starting limit was $300. My CS email said I'd receive $500 after 6 mos. I got a "Luv" button approval after my 4th statement for +$100 bringing my CL to $400. Then I received my Credit Steps CLI to $750 in Sep, (+$350). 

It doesnt hurt to try the "luv" button anytime between.

I did actually and once it was too early and 2nd time they said too many inquiries. Maybe I will try again now. I did it on the first one and at the 4 month mark they gave me an additional $100 and then to $750 at 6 months. I will try on the $300 one again...
