Cap1 qs CLI denial, weird denial reason

Been 6 months since my last cap1 QS CLI, so I applied for a cli. Got denied, and the reason was "evaulating acount acount activity at assigned credit limit" what exactlu does this mean? or is just a generic denial. I have not had any baddieson my credit report. I hope this won't lead to adverse action.

It sounds like they want to see 1 of 2 things or both:

1)  How much are you spending in relation to your credit limit.

2)  To see more experience with managing your current CL.

This is just speculation on my part.

I thought that verbiage was during an account review?

Got it for the reason CLI was denied.

Yeah and it was previously explained to me that pops when they’re in the middle of doing your review and you ask for a CLI.

I agree 100% with @overmedicated response and want to add one more thing for thought or more like ask some questions:

Is your UT high on their card or even on other cards?

Are you only making minimum payments? Now this is okay, but if you are carrying high balances, some cards like to see a little bit more than minimum payment. After all, the minimum payment barely covers the interest that’s charged.

What was your SL? If less than $1K, you barely got your foot in the door. And since it’s only been 6 months, it’s not enough time for them to assess how you’re managing.

It’ll come in time. Be patience. And if it doesn’t, wait another 6 months and apply for another lender’s CC.

Sounds to me just another reason to use when cli isnt availble, especially if the account isnt seeing alot of use.

Yeah they seem to shuffle through reasons for denial. Why don’t they just write “Dear Saeren, you suck and we don’t make money off of you?” 🤣

@saeren

Believe me, they probably would say “you suck” if they could get away with it and the law allowed. 😂😁😂🤣
