I have applied for CLI on my Quicksilver One MCs (formerly a No Hassle Cash and Credit Steps Plat MC) three times in the past 2 years. Every time I get the 2-3 day message. The denial letter comes and always has the reason "there is a recent delinquency on your credit report." When you look at the additional explain action section it says that CapOne typically will not approve a CLI if you have a late payment to a creditor in the previous 9 months. In July 2014 the EO was kind enough to do a manual review and increased the limit on my primary card.
I I had a discharged Chap 7 BK in Sep 2009. No late payments on any obligation since then. And I monitor my reports and see there are no errors on any of them.
However even with this denied CLI they approved me for Venture One and Quicksilver with stronger limits.
I really want want to get a CLI on the new cards soon but want the luv button to work for me instead of having to call the EO again and give them my story again.
Has anyone received similar denial reasons that were not accurate? Did you have luck in the future or on a different product/card with Cap One?
