Re: CapOne CLI Denial for a non-sensical reason

I don't think it'll report a high balance, say, 1547.66 if you rack it up, then PIF before the statement cuts. The high balance only shows on your CR if the statement cuts while you have that balance still owed.

P. S. Haven't tested that though...

You may very well be right about that. That wasn't the way I understood it, but again you may very well be right.

Re: CapOne CLI Denial for a non-sensical reason

EO called me already. She is going to look at the reason for denial and the system to see if the reasoning is sound. She seemed like a nice lady and promised me that she get back to me no later than this coming Tuesday, probably earlier. I can't wait!

Regardless of the outcome, I'm going to combine my QS's together for my second 5k+ credit card. I was hoping to combine closer to 10k to inch my way toward that milestone. Who knows, maybe they'll make it up to me by doubling my limit. Lol wishful thinking...

Re: CapOne CLI Denial for a non-sensical reason

The EO called back after her research, but she did not give me any useful information. She mentioned that they are not doing manual reviews anymore though. At this point in my rebuilding phase, CapOne is looking pretty blaise. Discover has outpaced them in the CLI race, and I get better cash back rewards on my Citi DC. The only possible use case would be for the no FTF if wherever I am does not take my Amex PRG or Discover. So into the sock drawer it goes!

Re: CapOne CLI Denial for a non-sensical reason

I'm not sure what has changed, but I tried a CLI on my QS One and they gave a $2,000 increase.  After the CLI, I did the combination of the QS One into the QS.  So now I have one sock drawered card instead of two! Hooray!
