Capital One Approval Issues

I have 4 store cards, NFCU Cash Rewards (unsecured), and 2 rebuiler cards with Total and Credit One Bank. I have received preapprovals and was qualified for a Capital One card. At first they said I had a fraud alert, which I did but was unaware and had it removed. I contacted them and told them the alert has been removed and then they said that I didn't have a phone number listed on the credit report. Should I call back and have the alert placed back on and add my phone number? I'm confused about this process. Has this happened to anyone before? Today is my first day in the garden and I'm just curious to what could be the problem or what I should do for when I'm ready to leave the garden.

You should be able to simply call the CB's and have your phone number listed 

Due to the Fraud alert they simply want to make sure its you and have all accurate info to issue the card to the right person

Can't really blame them when they see a fraud alert it's for your protection as well as theirs 

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?
