Yesss...update us...any luck??
Still haven't heard anything. I called when I got in from work this evening/morning (2nd shift) and left the rep a message saying I was calling in to follow up as we spoke the 20th and I am nearing the 10 business days pretty quickly so I hope to hear SOMETHING tomorrow. I leave for Vegas Friday and would like to put my expenses for the trip on the C1 card, but we will see. More than even a limit increase I'm hoping they will remove the 30 day late as even being from 4 years ago I am sure it is still hurting me a little and my profile has been improving drastically now that I have discovered this site and started chipping away at my CC debt so an increase would inevitably come in time, but I've still got 3 more years exactly until that baddie disappears on it's own I will update tomorrow if I hear anything.
Sorry Wesleym to hear about your bad experience.
When I worked with them last year they told me they would have additional info for me if my request could not be honored. I requested an increase to $4k on my account to match my other highest line at the time. They countered and moved me from $1,250 to $2,500. They stated it was because my total CLs with them would exceed the $4k amount I was requesting.
Did they give you any additional info to help you for possible increases in the future?
I expect to have to use them in a few months because the CLI button always gives me the same denial reason that does not accurately reflect my credit report. I hope they have not turned sour and are going to start habitually declining modest requests like good will baddie deletion and occasional CLIs.
The reasons she gave me were
Inquiries: Obviously I have a high number but it is artifically inflated due to a lot of rate shopping and multiple vehicles in the last year which was explained
Low payment relative to balance: I don't pay them much because I am on 0% intro APR and am better served paying off other interest accruing debt which was also explained to them.
Honestly this interaction really turned me off to C1 for some reason. I was also denied an increase with citi about a month ago VIA EO but when that occured she spelled out exactly what they wanted to see from me to get an increase and I have done what they ask so I am waiting a few months to see if I trigger an auto increase and if not I will give them a call back.
