Anyone have a decent app line for capital one... I gave the what use to be EO line number that goes to regular CS and that first rep transferred to tech support who then tried to transfer to phone applications which was closed.

all 3 of those are wrong!!!

Clearly i would think it would not only be an approval but a $30k+ approval with cap1 and with the pre-qual im quite shocked... especially with the 2nd app being instantly denied!!

I have a feeling someone from Cap1 will be calling her tomorrow (seems to be common lately). Probably verification or they needed someone to manually decide CL - just wait and see if someone calls her first.

Hopefully she gets it. With those scores, I'd be curious to a reason for the denial.

If your friend gave a substantial income, the 7-10 message is actually not unheard of.  The cases I've read about that went through this process ended up with a significant approval.  That could also be the reason for the hard-decline on the second application, since the first one was 'stuck', so to speak.

My fingers are crossed for your friend... good luck! 

(I regret that I don't have a good number to call to expedite the process.)

If you read the entire 7-10 day message, it clearly states not to apply for any other cards until they contact you (re: the first app) - that is why the second app was instantly declined.

I got the 7-10 day message on a Venture about 2 weeks ago, it was for identity/income verification, but it took about a week after the app before anyone there would tell me.
