Yes exactly the same for me.. the Equifax score is from my credit 2 months ago when i was carrying larger balances...now with cards all but paid off and 1% utilazation the score Capital one use is 110 points lower thatn the current Equifax scroe. I'm glad i'm not the only one with this crazy difference.
And if there was ever evidence needed that my FICO is in collusion with the credit card providers, you need to look no further than my account here. When I posted what I said about Capitol One going back as far as six months in my credit history to pick the lowest score possible before offering you any kind of a credit increase, myfico.com sent me an email telling me that they had deleted my post. They gave no reason, sided no violation in the content that I posted, simply informed me that they had removed my post or my comment.
Why would they do that if they weren't in collision and conspiring with the credit card companies to screw over consumers? The answer?: they wouldn't.
Using old scores for decisioning can save on cost. If the policy is to use 2 month old data/scores for CLIs, so be it. Some card holder will benefit while others do not. Not seeing any nefarious practice or collusion with Fico.
Many CC issuers also use their own internal risk assessment algorithms independent of Fico. Card application denials, CLI denials, nominal CLI increases and CLDs may have nothing to do with Fico score.
