When I applied for Capital 1's card, they started me off with a PC then change me over to a QS. I am not sure of the difference. I began with a $300.00 CL. I was told that I was "possibly" eligible for an increase after 3 statements. With today being the closing of the 4th statement, I decided to try for a CLI. I went online, filled out the questionnaire and then it stated it would reply to my request in 2-3 business days. Do you thing I prematurely requested a CLI? Why do they need 2-3 days to figure out if I am eligible or not. I've always paid on time.

Never heard of 3. Heard of 5, Heard of 7. Never 3.
It's funny how I could be approved for (although it's not much) a $2,300 limit at Overstock but possibly not one from $300. Hopefully things will work in my favor. I will keep everyone posted.
That is a denial...
Definitely recon ASAP if you can. It's worth a shot to see. If they said there was a possibility of a CLI within 3 statements then I wouldn't think that it's premature. Did you follow up with them before applying? Regardless, it'll help to follow up right now.

Er, um ... Overstock approvals are probably not a good comparison for other approvals. OS is handing out CL's like candy.
+1 Thats a denial
I will definitely follow up tomorrow with a call to the recon department. I was hoping that it wasn't a denial, but from the responses, it doesnt seem to be positive.
