@Duriel - I'm sure you're drawing on speculation given that no one here knows how their internal algorithms work or what raises certain flags on a variety of applications. I have a fairly high income and none of my prior Capital One cards were ever flagged for those reasons.

I'm curious, what do you call a "high income"?

Then no, there is no such threshold for income; my income is well over those thresholds and I was instantly approved.
Chapter 13:
I categorically refuse to do AZEO!

@missji - I called them yesterday and they do just want one of the requirements! The tax return has to be prepared professionaly or they won't accept that but I didn't want to send my tax return anyway. I suppose I'll try the bank statement method since I already have 3 inquiries from this!
That's great! I was going to send my pay statements but then I read the "fine print" and saw that my starting CL would be between $300 - $3,000. That gives me the indication that I would end up stuck with a lower limit card knowing Cap1 so I decided to just not send the documents.
