Hi everyone
I decided to try and apply for the venture, for the 50k SUB. I was preapproved yesterday for all the cards that are available on the preapproval tool (quicksilver, savor one, quicksilver one, platinum and secured) so I thought I had a good shot. Double checked the preapproval again today, and it only pulled up quicksilver one, platinum and secured. I checked my credit report and nothing had changed overnight, so I decided to go for it. I got a message saying I'd get an email/letter from them within 7-15 business days. I've looked online and can only really see data points from getting a 7-10 business days message. Has anyone gotten approved after getting the 7-15 days message for capital one cards? Thanks!
Never seen that, however I wanted to ask, are you sure the pre-approval previously showed Savor One and Quicksilver? Because as of a little while back (and as recently as a week ago when I checked), they had changed their pre-approval tool where it only prequalified you for Secured, Platinum, and QS One.
Yes I'm sure, it showed both QS and SO and said they came with a $200 bonus. It's weird they didn't show up this morning though (they displayed as options but I wasn't preapproved for them like I was yesterday). Anyway, it's not an auto denial like it was the last time I tried for a cap1 card about a year and a half - 2 years ago, so that's promising I guess! Preapproval page showing SO and QS is here
Pretty sure I got the 15 day message back in the day.
I was approved for $30k SL a few days later after verification questions.
GL!

They asked me to send a copy of ITIN, passport, and bank statement via fax, I did so and they said they received it, so sounds promising! I was wondering if anyone knows if the card is still metal? Superficial I know 😂 Capital one said they're no longer issuing cards in metal, but every card site suggests it's still in metal.
As an update/data point, I faxed in the docs on Monday evening. I called yesterday and they said it could take them up to 3 weeks to review the documents and then another 7-10 business days after a decision has been made to deliver the card, if I'm approved. Is this a normal timeframe? 3 weeks to review the documents seems quite a long time. Also, on Monday when I called, they said they had sent me an email requesting the documents. However, I had only received an email saying they were processing my application, nothing else in inbox or junk. Has anyone else had the same issues with Cap1 not sending emails properly? I double checked my email address with them over the phone.
This is pretty standard OP. Keep in mind, it's only been (roughly) 5 business days since you applied and posted this topic. I would allow a reasonable timeframe for processing the requested documents. It could be less than 3 weeks, but temper expectations.
Thanks! Yeah I guess they must have a lot of applications due to the new SUB, maybe.
Just think about how many applications they receive on a daily basis. Then, thinking about their internal processes, queued requests, staff constraints (if any), backlogged instances, etc. So, while any other time instant decisions are wonderful, there are times when some further or manual review is needed, basically for your own protection given the amount of fraud globally.

Did you hear anything back regarding your Venture application @cupofcoffee?
