I've been trying to apply for a Venture card since June. Every single time it comes back a couple days later with the message that an application is pending or recently processed. I opened a QuickSilver One on June 5th and I've heard people say something about a new "time between cards". Does this message I'm getting essentially mean I cannot apply for a card until 6 months after the June 5th approval I had? People used to get back to back approvals... so I'm just curious.

Thanks for the info... I kind of figured. I'm trying to build my portfolio of Cap One / Amex / Discover.... I want those three companies long term which I now have... but I want to work towards getting Capital One and Discover to get closer to matching my AMEX limits.

Thanks, I'm already hooked up with PenFed... my dumb NextGen score was 581.. but I paid off $16k in debt and my VantageScore jumped 60 points, so I'm hoping thats enough. I have to wait until my 90 days mark (30 days from now) to reapply. Thanks for the info.. PenFed is definitely on my list!

I only use FICO 8... I was mentioning it because the Vantage Score seems to closer emulate NextGen....When my NextGen was 581... my Vantage was 587. The NextGen score was almost 50 points lower than my FICO 8.... now my Vantage is 660.. so I'm hoping when the NextGen pulls again it has risen as well.
We have an almost the same score and set up!!! Your Delta Gold did you get it at 5K and 3x cli? I have the Platinum instead of Amex HHonors I'm contemplating on getting the PRG, what do you think of that one? how far apart did you apply for your Amex cards? I had been trying for Venture as well and I just spoke to an EO today for about an hour and half and pretty much told me, no can't do until 6 months after last approval which I'm for December 20th too! Yikes! too far away! I asked for CLI, and was told again no can't do - whatever the auto increase I get that's all I can get... ugh! soooo annoyed! I'm stuck at $1,000 and I use it for everything and anything! I need to sock drawer it!
I got $5000 on Delta Gold on 5/24.
I then got $5000 on Blue Cash Everyday on 5/30
I asked for 3X CLI at 61 days... $15000 to the Delta Gold.
I got $1000 on Blue Cash Preferred on 7/25.
I got $1600 on HHonors on 8/22.
I use each of these cards heavily and have PIF each month the statement balance. I had put $2500 through on the Delta Gold month 1 and about $700 month two before getting the 3X CLI. I've run about $10,000 through all 4 cards and keep paying off the BCPreffered because my family of 6 needs a lot of groceries weekly.
You are right.. similar profiles!
