Capital One Venture denial?

I just app’d for the Cap One Venture after applying for the Ducks Unlimited card. I was given the 7-10 day message. I’ve read here on the forums that it’s hit or miss on whether it is an approval or denial. Should I let them contact me, or should I call them in a few days to check the status? Does anyone else have experience with this?

Could go either way although 7-10 with Cap1 unlike other lenders usually isn't a denial more-so it is usually verification, but as always YMMV. You can reach out to them in a few days if they dont reach out to you first to see if they need to verify anything otherwise just let it ride out and your will find out soon enough. Cap1 isn't affraid at all to instant denial when you apply, so a better sign at least than that! Best of luck

More then likely verification. Same thing happened to me recently with an application. Reach out to them in 3 days if you haven’t received a call or an email.

Update:

I called today and was transferred to the fraud department. I verified that it was actually me that applied. Then they said told me they were going to continue to process the app, and to wait for a call or email, or a letter in 7 days. Kind of annoying to me, I’ve never not been instantly approved 🤦🏻‍♂️
