Hi! I'm a new member and this is my first post, so please bare with me ☺️ I have a Capital One Platinum card that I have never had a late payment, always in good standing and almost 2 weeks ago I applied for a Quicksilver One card. Didn't get an immediate answer, but a couple days later I received an e-mail asking for documents to verify identification. After several uploads and calls, they finally verified that they successfully received my documents and to allow 2-3 weeks for a decision. Yesterday, the automated credit application status message changed to: "We have received your application and it is currently under review. We will contact you via mailing address within 10 business days". Whereas before it always just stated that it would "forward me to someone that could further assist me." and that person would tell me that it was still under review and I would receive a decision in e-mail. So I might be overthinking this, but why has it changed from contacting me via email to mailing address? Does this mean denial or approval in anyone's similar experience? The automated message specifically states "within 10 business days" and the closest I can find that someone else has received is "7-10 business day". Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
