Capital one platinum prestige

Hey everyone, hope everybody's Friday is going good. I got approved for a venture card last month, and I was looking at the prequalification site, and it popped up with the big cards all with excellent credit categories. Does anyone have the prestige card? I noticed that the minimum credit line they will open this $300. That kind of limits not going to help me because I want to potentially transfer my arrival balance on it. What kind of limits have you guys seen, or have you? Thank you

I opened my Platinum Prestige with Capital One the same day I was approved for my Venture.  The SL is $3,000 and my Venture was approved for $10k.  I know there are a couple of others who were approved at $3k and $5k respectively when they applied for the Prestige after having applied for the Venture.  Hope this helps.

I am planning on apping for the prestige on 22 April. I got approved for the venture and venture one. I want to take advantage of the BT offer. Let us know if you apply

Awesome!  Thanks for the heads up everyone.  I wouldn't mind maybe trying to double dip in 1 day.  Maybe apping for the Prestige and then maybe the V1 or Siggy I know I am pre-qualified for all of them, from there site, but some of the limits start as low as 500.

I guess, not to sound greedy, anything under 3K would not be worth it as I want to BT

Dont see much play on the prestige card. Id hate a 300 credit line unless it came with a super low apr, and i could soft luv that limit up.

What was your approved CL on your recently opened Venture Card?  I'm not sure if this might help you make a more informed decision, but I know myself and at least two others on here all applied for the Venture around the same time, and we all received 10k starting limits.  We all also happened to apply for the Prestige and all of us received $3k limits.  On the other hand, my spouse applied for Venture and received a $5k starting limt and then applied for the Prestige and received a $1k starting limit.  

For some reason, I'm thinking the Prestige SL's are much less, but in proportion to (using some equation), the SL granted to you on your Venture.  

If you've not had anything major happen between the time you were approved for the Venture and today (no derogs, change in UTIL, collections, etc.) and if your scores and data have pretty much remained the same or have improved, you'll get a handsome SL on your Prestige card.

See, I got a 5,000 SL on my Venture.  My credit reports have actually gotten better since then.  My scores have gone up around 20 points or so for EQ and TU and stayed the same or slightly rose on EX.  I am now** CA FREE!  I had 3 on both EQ and TU and 1 on EX when I got approved for my Venture.  Edit ooops sorry CA FREE now!

If I remember correctly, I got one of these with a $1,000 limit at the highest offered APR (18.9%) back in 2011. It is now a QS WMC.

EQ04 FICO at the time was hovering around 595

Awesome!! Thank you for that, Nixon... I wonder if I should just double app...maybe that and either *hopefully QS Siggy* and maybe a V1  Which one is a World Mastercard?
