@Justagirl73 wrote:You have two options:
1. Apply for a regular QS. Once approved after 6 months, combine your two QS1 into your QS. This will give you one card with a nice limit.
2. Wait it out and continue to check with CO to see if you have any offers to upgrade to QS.
*Another option is to see if you can get the fees waived on your QS1. I'm not sure if they will permently waive them, you may have to call in every year.
Third is seeing if they will waive or permanently remove the AF on either or both of the QS1s...... since the op was supposedly upgraded (as someone else posted they will have to wait 6+ months to try again ).... Still think with that long of a history OP should be able to negotiate the AF removal or fee waiver for at least a year, then can work on getting it upgraded to a QS with no fee..
Edit: DIdnt see Justagirls mention of the fee waiver... my bad.. but thats where id go with this...
And as others have said.. Dont close them, prep them for combining.... there are other threads about how this is done when eligible...
Have you gotten any CLI increases in the past 6-12 months? If your scores really are in the mid 700s...
You could try to prequalify for another COne card... see if the offer is better than what you have now, apr, terms, etc)... Hopefully a Quicksilver (which has No AF)....
Take the HPs and get the card...
Then merge them all on to the best card.. depending on the direction of movement, might not be able to do it for a bit...
After they are merged, then close...
Part of me wonders if those cards are sort of "stuck" ...

Good advice!
I find myself in the same bind. In April I would have had a year with my QS1 but I don't want to pay the fee. I would close the card since I don't really need it, but it's my first card. Upgraded from a CapOne Platinum. If I don't get it upgraded or to a QS or have the fee waived I might go this route. My scores are in the 730-740 range so I hope things work out.
