I applied for 2 credit cards in the last 30 days. One was Capital One quicksilver and the other was Chase Sapphire Preffered. Got approved for both.
Question:
If i apply for another card (Discover it), will Chase proactively see that I applied for more than 2 cards in the 30 day window when they do there monthnly soft pull and cancel my Sapphire card? I was reading reveiws on credit karma and a couple people left 1 star reviews stating chase cancels the card easily.
Also my score is 670 so what are the odds I get a Discover it?
I am a part-time student going for a masters but I have a job in my feild already with 65k income. So i don't feel they will beleive me if i said I was a "Student" and appy for the student card.
I'm sure I only got approved for the capital one and chase card because I have and had very postive banking relationships with both companies. I have no relationship with discover other than a savings account.
Should I apply for it before my new cards show up on my report or after?

I don't know your file but I apped for CSP, got it and then apped 5 minutes later for BOA Travel Rewards and got that. My philosophy is to make meet my spends on each and wait for them to both report on my credit report and focus on using them and letting them age a little before I do anything else. I want Chase's computer to see a nice solid dependable pattern with me before I do anything else so I know I'm secure with them . I don't want to risk rocking the boat!
I think you should be fine. A couple of questions:
1. do you even have a prequal on their link?
2. how many new accounts and inquiries do you have in the past 6 months and the past 1 year?
Why dont you just wait a month and not have any worries ????

The only prequal I have from them is there Discover It secured card. I find it odd because just approved me for CSP and capital one approved me for QS so my credit can't be that bad.
Last 6 months I have had 2 new accounts and like 6 inquires. Same for past year.

Yea I could lol. I'm just excited to get new cards. Waiting is hurtful to my soul.
