Hi all, has anyone ever received the Chase "We need a little more time to review your information, we will send by mail in 30 days" message? I just applied for Chase Slate and that's the message that I got. It seems like a denial, just not an instant denial. I just applied for Discover and was told by the computer to call in, only to call in and be denied. I will have to garden for a long time, if this one doesn't get approved. I wonder if there's any hope with this message that Chase could approve. I am a 713 TU if anyone would like to know, with an A on payment history and an A in credit utilization....my only bad area's being credit mix (only one card), and my age of credit isn't much beyond 2 years. Just wondering if there's a chance that it will say approved. Does it really take them 30 days to decide?
Well, I did get the 30 day review message. And then yesterday as well I called the number to check the status and got the robo bot lady. She said I will hear the results in 30 days. Then today, I called the robo bot lady again and was told that it will be 7-10 days. Then, I called and actually spoke to a real person who told me that he doesn't have the Approval or Denial results yet, that it just says the application is still being processed and will take 7-10 days. He reassured me that for Chase, it is totally normal to take 7-10 days and can even take up to a month. However, 7-10 days in credit card history usually means denial in my experience, right? I am assuming that I got stuck with the 30 days message because I had a halfway decent chance & then got denied which explains the 7-10 days.
If it is a denial, will probably try to Recon even if unsuccessful. I know that there are many more factors that account for getting approved or denied, but my payment history and credit utilization is excellent. I have never missed a payment and always pay way over the minimum amount due + I have no balance. I am very responsibile, and even if without a high credit limit, I feel that I do deserve a chance with this company.
I called Recon early as i didnt receive my letter yet and they told me that they needed me to verify information for them and fax it in (license, social security number) and then call in 5 days. I did fax the info in but the fac machines were giving me a really hard time and all i could think was like damnn, this is a lot of effort and time just to possibly be denied. :/

+1 They don't ask for verification to deny u.
So i faxed my information in and i believe i did it almost a whole week and a half ago (posted the upper reply much later.), maybe more. The reps on the phone are still telling me that theres no record of my faxed in information but yet they tell me it should only take 5-9 days for them to receive the information. Should i keep waiting or fax everything in a 2nd time? I also double checked the fax number and i had faxed everything to the correct number.
