Does Chase count self reported accounts from Experian Boost against your 5/24 rule? They don't list date opened, so if they do count, do they just look at the first payment reported?
My wife has 4/24 and was at 5 before I removed her from my REDcard as an AU. That shows as open, but terminated on TransUnion and was removed elsewhere. But, she has 2 self reported Experian Boost accounts that worry me. We can remove them, but only want to do this if needed as we aren't sure if they can be added back later.
I know most banks don't even look at the Boosted score, but they still find out about them via the report.
As a side note, Do closed accounts count against the 5/24 rule? We don't have any that new, but we were curious.
Thanks in advance!
P.S. Not sure if it matters, but she's apply for the Chase Freedom (not 1.5% unlimited, but the rolling 5% categories) card
I was in a similar situation and boost accounts do not count.
Closed counts do count if they were opened within 24 months.
Also, I don't know from personal experience, but I've read on here that AU accounts will trigger 5/24 but it can be overruled in a recon if you are denied solely for the 5/24 issue.

Correct that an underwriter can choose at their discretion to not count an AU card against the 5/24 rule.

I had read that they can override the AU accounts, but I my wife and I are both hearing impaired and loath making customer service calls. I really appreciate your prompt response.

That's a relief. Thanks
