I'm in Chase limbo too with the Marriott, OP. Apped Sunday and no word yet. Verification would be the only dept I'd call. Others have advised to stay the heck away from lending
Not really limbo. Just takes time to create a marriott rewards account

What card did you apply for and what are your scores? Chase relies heavily on their internal scores...
What do you mean by "internal scores"?
Chase has their own internal scoring model that is used when approving people for any of their products. Your credit profile only plays a minor part in their decision. That is why you will sometimes see someone whose credit profile is not strong but has a lot of chase accounts with high limits.
Another example, you can have a 520 score and be able to get the Chase highly tiered Palladium card if you have the money in your accounts.
I've always wanted a Chase card but never see any pre-quals and don't want to waste a HP, my TU is 612 BK7 disc 12/14 but have 3k in 2 checking accts and 5k in savings, that's why I asked internal decisions
I called verif number , asked some questions and approved $2,000 , not much but not bad ![]()
Thanks!
Well done!
