When I applied for my Chase Marriott card it was an instant approval. On the approval page it said if I wanted a higher limit to call in. At the moment I didnt put much thought into it but now I feel like I should have called in. I opened my account Nov 16th. By Dec 16th I hit the $3K bonus paid in full and now my 2nd statement hit and I realized my spend is much higher than I thought.
I am running at the least $6-7K on my Marriott card. No new accounts, UTL has dropped significantly & scores going up. I am curious would it hurt to call in for CLI due to my spend? or would it set off alarms?
I personally would give them 6 months with you to show your spending habits and ability to repay with time since this is your first card with them to get more comfortable with you. Just my 2 cents... Reason is scores are still on lower end even though spend appears to be higher, but if paying off and ability to pay a few times a month you should be good right?

Is it possible you could temporarily move some of your CL from your Disney over?
The process is simple (If your card is 1 year old) and requires no HP.
And you could always move the limit back then ask for a limit increase after 6 months or thereabouts.
Edit: Scratch that, Credit Curiosity pointed out that the Disney card is a Debit Card

There's a co-branded Disney Visa CC issued by Chase. You can apply for one on-prem at Disney World and if instantly approved walk out with the card. Friend of mine did it about a year ago on the spur of the moment and regretted burning a 5/24 slot on it after the fact.

@CreditCuriosity, You are absolutely correct! I mistook that for a CC.

Yeah scores are being held down from old lates. My scores move up slowly because of it. Ive been able to put through multiple large payments but I def. dont want that to be an issue with Chase. I am just moving cautiously.
