Chase Auto 2 week Message

I app'd for a the Chase Amazon card on 11/19 and received the "30 day message". Called into the auto line an hour later and received the "2 week" message which it has been on since then. Now yesterday when I called, the line hangs up as soon as I put in my social. Tried again today and this time after entering my social it says "thank you for calling chase" and then prompty hangs up. I know it's the weekend and there could just be generic issues with the phone line, but I'm a little concerned at this point. Chase has not attempted to communiate with me in any fashion. I assume if they needed any kind of info from me they would have sent a letter, email, phone call, something by now right? Has anybody had this happen before where it's taken the almost entire 30 days to get approved or hear anything? Is it worth it to try calling any of the other backdoor numbers to get a move on or just continue to leave it be? I'm well within the 5/24 rule, FICO's are all in the high 700's, 2% utilization across the board and income over $80k.

So, this is typically standard. Based on what you've shared upthread, it's been roughly ~10 business days from when the application was submitted. Some applications can be turned around quicker while others can take more time. Nothing really to be concerned about at this point.

 
If you feel anxious about things and just want to check the status, then give them a call. Typically, if anything else is needed from their end, they would either call or send you a letter. Since they're currently not open, you can try tomorrow, but temper your expectations on hold times. Some folks have reported being on hold for at least an hour, but you might get lucky.

Since they're hanging up on you as soon as you enter your SSN, calling doesn't look like a good option--unless there's some way in without providing your SSN. But what about social media? Have you tried Twitter? That's my go-to method when I have something really important but can't get a company's attention any other way. I have no experience with Chase, so I don't know what they're like as far as social media goes, but it may be worth a try.

Thank you for the reply! I figured this was par of the course with Chase. I guess my concern is that the auto line just hangs up on me now after putting in my social. Instead of the usual "thank you for applying, we received your application on 11/19 and will inform you of our decision...". It just hangs up or tells me "the option you selected is not available", so I was getting nervous that my application disappeared or something. I have to admit I didn't even consider "business" days here , so I'll give it a little while longer!

Just wanted to update this for anybody who is in the same boat. My message on the auto line finally came back yesterday and changed to the 7-10 day message. I knew at this point it was almost certainly a verification issue so I called again and I was finally able to get a hold of the Chase Verification department this morning. They asked me 2 questions and immediately approved me for an $8k CL! Now into the garden I go!
