Chase BlackList Question

Hey guys,

I was an AU (Authorized User) for a Chase credit card that was charged off 3 years ago. I don't think it was ever paid either. Will they hold this against me when I apply for one of there cards now?

Also is 5/24 rule applying to Co-Branded cards now? I heard it was starting to or something. I'd really like the Amazon Visa and Mariott card.

Thanks!

Re: Chase BlackList Question

As far as the blacklist, it really depends on what may "flag" the application (i.e. internal records) when submitted. Perhaps something that can be explained during reconsideration if it gets to that point.

As far as 5/24 restrictions, below is a link to a DoC article which explains it in more detail :

Re: Chase BlackList Question

I know about the 5/24 rule, I just heard some rumors that it may be applying to co-branded cards soon...or even now.

And yeah, i was an AU on a Chase charge-off that has already fallen off my report. I disputed with credit bureaus and they removed me. I was not involved with the account. Will Chase know about this even if I'm authorized user?

Re: Chase BlackList Question

If you were never removed as AU on the Chase tradeline, chances are that record is still in their system. What effect this will have when you apply is unknown until you pull the trigger.

Also, rumors aside, most reliable sources tend to provide some DPs on Reddit, DoC or FT. However, Chase can implement a change in policy at any given time and without notice so if you want to apply, the sooner the better.
