I applied for the British Airways card a little whiler ago, this is the first time I have received the message to call them to further finish my application. I have never received this one before, but I know others have. I also know some people just ignore and let the app ride, which is what I am going to do. I dont want to talk with them, I have a lot of accounts/inquiries, too many to want to discus with anyone lol.
The status line says 30 days will be notified, it can go either way. It will probably change to the 7 day message shortly. I never received an email from chase though after i applied saying thanks for your application.
I will keep this updated!
Good luck and I agree I would let it ride out as well as if you call in that would probably end up bad
.. Let us know how it turns out! Hopefully you aren't at exposure limit. I think you might have more chase cards than booboo(think that is his/her name)?
Still thinking it will be an approval if you let it ride out.
When I applied for the Ritz I received the same message...was an id verification. Just my 2 cents. Hope all works out well.
Be well

Reason is that for many people...when they apply and get a similar message...rather than wait for the application to ride the course they call up and get transfered to lending...and lending has watched perry mason WAY TOO many times....WHY THIS>>>WHY THAT...etc...just put on the stand and most people blow the app right there.
I think its an id verify...but ymmv.

Also alot of people on this board have ALOT of new accounts within the last yaer or two year being 20-50 accounts and that is the kiss of death if you talk with Chase UW if you call up and it isn't just verification thus most people choose to wait from this forum and other forums such as FT that have alot of new accounts as if you get transferred to UW, most likely one will be declined. On the other hand if person only has three cards in say two years then there is nothing to worry about.
Well said ![]()
Here's what you do....
Call the verification number from the backdoor number thread on here. Give them the code you were given and if it is indeed verification you will be good to go. If they say they need to transfer your call to lending you hang up ![]()
Nothing to lose, right?
