hi!
question for our resident chase experts, how long can i wait before chase apps?
little background: applied and approved for CSP on 3/3/23 and for CFF on 3/7/23, did not have prior relations with chase and scores are in the 800's
planning on applying for CFU around the june timeframe (90 days)
i've seen recommendations for 30/60/90 days to even 6 months+, just want to be able to app for the card without fear of a subsequent shutdown if approved.
sorry if i'm been vague let me know if you need for details.
thanks!
I'd wait a little longer. You have the coveted CSP most people have on their wish list. Another new account will put you at 5/24 after your two new Chase cards, correct? Those aren't toy limits so good job on the CSP and CFF. Now that Chase is loosening the leash for credit limit increase requests I'd wait a while for the CFU.. and in the meantime put some usage on that CSP and increase that line when it becomes eligible. Adding another card may hinder a CLI based on your overall exposure with Chase.
thank you very much for the feedback @fury1995 !
Actually i'm 2/24 because of the CSP and CFF, so the CFU would put me at 3/24
also, i'm almost at the SUB for the CSP
I would wait 6 months to a year, not because of app approval chance but maxing that first year grocery or gas sub.
the freedom unlimited adds very little to the trifecta only .5% cb on uncatagorized spend... to me waiting a year for the flex sub to end or for the unlimited to change subs would be ideal.
No reason to waste that 5% grocery offer, unless you think you are going to apply for a lot more cards this year and go over the 5/24 rule.
Thank you @Beefy1212!
That's good reasoning, the CFU and the WoH cards were the only 2 I was interested to get this year
