Chase CLI Question

Wondering if it's possible to try to recon a CLI denial once I receive the letter? I was able to product change from a Slate to a Freedom Unlimited. Asked for a CLI to go along with it and was denied. I've paid down all outstanding credit card balances - down to overall 19% usage. EQ is 702 FICO 8 EX 677 FICO 8. I have 1 card that is reporting at 50% utilization. While I'm super excited to be able to get a Freedom card, I'm kinda bummed to have been making all this effort to boost my credit and then getting shot down for a CLI. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Re: Chase CLI Question

I wouldn't say never but Chase isn't known for bumping a CLI right away I doubt with those numbers they would reconsider.

Give it 6-8 months, get that utilization down and try again but watch the HP's make sure your bureaus are locked.

Re: Chase CLI Question

Chase requires a HP for a requested CLI. I imagine it's unlikely to be granted if they're unable to pull.

Chase likes tondona HP for just about everything under the 🌞 ...

An exception may be a partial  Credit Limit Transfer from one CC to another

Great way to get automatically denied for a CLI from Chase....
