Requested a CLI for my Chase Prime card and finally got their letter posted.
Thank you for your request for credit. We look forward to reviewing it, but we can't access your TRANSUNION credit report because of safeguards you requested. They've given me a 14-day window to call in.
All of my accounts are frozen, but I didn't think that would stop any SP. Maybe I'm wrong about that. But I was under the impression that Chase is doing SP for all CLI requests. The last two Decembers I received auto-CLIs for this card, but am hoping to speed up the process in increasing the CL. I requested in Mar and May of this year since the button was available, but was denied due to the recent CLI given. We're now 7 months since the last CLI and thought I would be in good shape. I also took advantage of a good offer from Chase for Apr-June and was able to spend 72% of the current CL so far this year in anticipation of the CLI request.
I have a new revolver and auto loan that are now three months old, and my TU rose back up to 800. However, my bigger goal is applying for my first Navy card in Nov/Dec of this year. I only have one current TU HP from Nov of last year, but don't know if I want to add one now from Chase, knowing Navy will also use TU. New accounts are currently 1/6 and 2/12. My priority is getting the best I can from Navy in another four months or so.
Suggestions and advice?

While some reasons for performing a soft pull against a frozen file like for example the purpose of performing a normal account review are allowed a soft pull of a frozen report in direct response to a request for additional credit wouldn't be considered a permissible purpose. BoA follows a similar policy.
Oh. So even if it would be a soft pull, I would still need to unfreeze? Did not realize that.
