Yesterday I applied for two Chase credit cards (Freedom Unlimited and Sapphire Preferred) as I had read it was best to apply for both on the same day to avoid the hard pull twice. I was immediately approved for the Freedom Unlimited and received the 30 day message immediately after applying for the Sapphire Preferred. I called reconsideration line and was told that my Sapphire card was denied due to applying for multiple credit lines through Chase (I only applied to Unlimited and Sapphire). I know about their 5/24, I had one BOA credit card previously and did not break their 2/30 rule. Should I call again later and try to speak with another individual? Should I wait and apply at a later time. My credit score is 786 and I have never missed a credit card payment. No negatives and I currently use less than 3% of my current credit line. What's the issue? Thanks in advance guys!
