Chase Freedom App Status Question

Hi all. I did the PQ site for Chase and both Freedom and Slate came up as options. I appd for Freedom and received a:

Call in to this 1-800 number (turns out they needed me to fax copies of my DL and SS card -- which I did right away)

Also got a 30 day email.

Have tried the automated line and it gives a 7-10 day message.

How do I interpret this??

I know I've heard 30 days can be a good thing in the long run. Then, I've heard more of the opposite about the 7-10. Search these threads because there are many topics on this very question that may be able to help you. Best of luck on getting the approval.

The automated app line might not have updated.

I had a 7-10 day message and it turned out to just be fraud department requesting verification.

My last 7-10 days message app with Chase ended up in a denied. For "too many inq" ....I was not shocked at all. That was a 1st denial from Chase. Ouch!

There is still hope. The same thing happened with my CSP app. The phone line suddenly changed to 7-10 however a few days later I got a letter to verify my address and number along with a few other questions. Instant approval while on the phone.
