Hey Guys,
I received a letter from Chase that they require a copy of SSN card to be faxed from one of their branches or to mail it via the mail.
I was just wondering how common this is, I was expected a straight up denial with the 7-10 business days message I got on my application.
They ran my credit the day I applied, so is it possible with this information I could get an approval?
Danielle
It's fairly common.
As far as approval goes, you did not get auto denial,so it's quite possible.

I am paranoid to a point and do not really want to send a copy of my ssn in the mail, so I think the branch would be my best option. Thank you for your advice. This is the second app that required verification off an application found on credit karma. This one is much more extension than Capital One was.

I don't know if this will help but they used the scoring system named Card Acquisition Risk Score V2. IMy score pulled from Experian was 627. My Fico 8 was 656. I have 3 original defaulted student loans and those were transferred to a collection agengy. So a total of 6 derog accounts on my CR.
