Hello MyFico family ,
i am planning to take a vacation and i would love to have a hotel credit card to use the signup bonus for a free nights ,
i am aiming for the chase hyatt or marriott , i did my search on both and both of the cards seems very good to me ,
i want to apply for both of them and want your opinion about the approval odds ,
i have 3 credit cards , Bofa cash 3000$ , Citi DC 3000$ and Discover IT 7500$ ,
the AAOA is 8months and my oldest card just pass the one year , annual income around 50k .
TU score 712 with 2 inquiries , EQ 708 with 2 inquiries , EX 710 with 4 inquiries ,
2 of the inquiries are from mobile companies and another 2 from property management companies ,
your help will be appreciated .
IMO I think the Hyatt is an easier card to be approved for than the Marriott.
The Marriott card falls under the 5/24 rule so you should apply for this card first. Your scores seem to be strong enough to be approved for both but you AAoA may spook them. Have you checked their site to see if you pre-qualify for any of their cards?
