So we apped my DW for her last card (for now) last night - Chase Hyatt - and of course got the 30 day message. Phone system still is stating 30 days, so I think we're good.
I've read all I can find on people's experience with waiting it out, and I'm wondering if anybody has any anecdotal evidence of larger limits being issued if one is to just wait vs. calling the verification line.
Recently, my DW acquired the Chase Disney Premier card, got the same pending message, and called verification the next morning and they approved her for $5K instantly.
This time, I'm hoping for a larger limit... thoughts?

Waiting it out doesn't usually mean a huge limit but may yield better results than if a human were to scrutinize you.

I was planning on having her call straight to verification/fraud, not underwriting.
It does not hurt to call verification, now if they want to transfer you to lending, thats when you go bye bye..
Well, just had my DW call verification and after a few minutes on hold, they asked her one verification question on our checking acct. and then proceeded to approve the app for $9K limit! That's the highest limit either of us has ever started w/ Chase. (Me: 4.5K Freedom, Me: 8.5K CSP, DW: 1K Freedom, Me: 2K IHG, DW: 5K Disney, DW: 9K Hyatt)
That's gonna do it for our apps! Rolling in the sign up bonuses now hahaha
Thanks for the input!

When you hang up after they transfer you to lending, but before youn get there, do they make note of that and possibly consider that in their decision?

I doubt it. I think that's probably overthinking it.

Plus, we aren't privy on what Chase does behind the scenes so...
