So I read on another forum on a post from 2016 that some people saw totally different Chase "Offers for you" (green checkmark) based on if they logged it on their desktop, an iPhone app, an iPad app (different from their iPhone) and an Android app.
I only checked desktop and iPhone this morning (my iPad and Android devices are at my other home) and they were identical, but I am curious if there are ANY data points from members here who see something different.
If you use Chase for anything (banking, credit, terrible CD rates, etc) and have a desktop login and an app installed, can you see if there are ANY differences between the green checkmark offers shown?
Huh. I've never thought to look. I'll do so when I have a chance.
I think they are pretty unified now. I believe the only thing different is business cards had or have a different feel, but that might be integrated into the same. Awhile ago people on personal accounts depending on person had the old site with no offers and new site with offers section and different look/feel if that is what you are referring to. This was quite some time ago though approx 6 months to a year?

That's what I am guessing because all of the apps look and feel so similar so I assume the marketing section is identical pulls. But the posts online are all well over a year old (I think the most recent was March 2016? Almost 2 years old) so I just wanted to confirm that this was the case. A few data points never hurts plus December is my month to study Chase and American Express data points to put together some notes to share. Stuff gets outdated so quickly if you base things on forum searches, and forget using Reddit for data points when there's so many ridiculously untrue outliers there. "Yeah I have a 490 FICO and I got a $50,000 CSR with a 200K sign up bonus" lol, sure you did.
There's no difference.
I did find out the DH has 7,105 UR points. I've never noticed his points tally in the app. And looking at his limits and balances, he needs to move some credit lines around to maximize his utilization. I told him he could do this and got the deer in headlights look. I love ya boo, but we're going to get you set in 2018!
(He's got a freedom, slate & the Amazon card)
Haha, those URs are sneaky! I "bank" my URs long term because I'd rather redeem them at 1.5 if I ever get CSR than 1c. So they sit an grow. I regret withdrawing my $150 UR SUB because I had no idea I could let it ride and be worth $225, derp.
The gal I date also is deer in headlights with credit. She's in the 800s and a millennial but she only has 1 credit card I think. Once she pays off her mortgage this year she'll have no installment loans so I suggested Alliant SSL and she said "Why would I want to borrow money and pay it almost all down?"
lol.

Yeah. That's what I told him about the points, though it might be the CSP for us instead. He's never paid late, ever. But that's the extent he uses & knows about his credit - it's never been important to him. I still need to look at his Amex account.

Most likely I'll have to start with CSP since I have no real high limit cards as it is. If I did start with CSP I'd still bank those points until I could PC to a CSR -- 1.25 -> 1.5 is a 20% increase and worth waiting an extra year for me.

At this time, I can't justify the CSR - we don't travel enough. Although in 3-5 years, this might change. I plan to snag my own freedom one day, and we'll be able to pool our UR points. I'd rather have the higher increase too, but the rewards need to offset the AF.
