I hate to be this blunt.  But not reconning again is a wise decision on your part.  Although, you settled with Chase, your score and profile need to be a bit solid to get back in with them.

Honestly, I think I'm going to give it 6-12 months of trimming down utilization and increasing current limits before I go back after Chase. Some higher scores and some more positive things to point to ought to do the trick next time around.

 

At least Amex likes me!


I like it when one is open minded and uses an empirical approach to their problems.  That is an excellent idea and now that you are in with Amex, Chase will take you back when your credit improves.

 

Chase and Amex are very competitive with each other so it is a good thing you have Amex on your file.  Treat it well and update once you try to get in with Chase again.
