Apped for the card through an invite. I'm below 5/24, but my scores aren't great (676 EQ, 677 TU, 734 EX). I have 3 cards with chase. Amazon which is 2 years old (they just gave me an auto CL of $1k putting me to 3k on it). I also have the Freedom and the FU both with $3,300 limits. My primary checking account is also with Chase.
The email I received said "We have received your request for a Chase credit card. We'll let you know our decision as soon as possible." It doesn't give a time frame like usually mentioned on here (7-10 days, or 30 days). Did they just rewrite the email? Or is this something new? I called the reco line immediately after apping and was told they needed verification so they transferred me. The woman who answered said it was the wrong department and put my on hold as she looked for the right department. She transferred me again and told me someone would be on the line shortly who could assist me. Instead of getting a rep, I got a robot asking me to "choose the following options". So I hung up.
Is it worth calling the reco line again? Or just wait for communication on an approval or denial?
I tried to use the number listed but it just asked me for the last 4 digits of my credit card account number (which I obv dont have). When I used my social (after it asked for the third time) it attempted to connect me to a rep about my current cards.
That was also the strange thing about the email I received. There is no reference number attached.
Edit: just checked through my chase.com login and it says I have no pending applications. Is this because I did the app outside of my account while using a friends invite link?
Edit 2: Found the right number. I guess it was updated. 30 day message. Not looking good, I guess.
Thank you for the advice. I just pulled my CR with Experian for $1. No inquiry has shown up yet, apparently. I don't know if they're just currently looking at our relationship or ~hour isn't long enough for it to reflect. I will wait at least a week (if not until the message changes) and go from there.

Sometimes it happens. My sister applied for the CSP herself last Sunday and had to wait for the pull and then finally called them Thursday. They just wanted to send a text to her phone verifying it was her that applied for the card. After that and a few moments waiting she was approved and as far as I know the card will be here today. Once you get a notification for a pull then I would check the app status line again to see what it changes to.
Will do. I appreciate the help!
Which verification line did you call?
