I applied for the Chase Sapphire Reserve the other day and I am getting the 7-10 day message. Its been over 48 Hours.
I did have some history with Chase over 7 years ago. Times were rough right out of college in 2009, and I had the account charged off for $1,500.00. It was never sent to collections or sold of, so I was able to pay it in full years later, and it was improved to "Charged Off -Paid". It has since completely come off my credit report.
Sounds like Chase never forgets, even thought I did eventually make good on it. Other than that, I should be a good. Maybe a chance at least for recon.
CS: 771 before they HP'd
Inquires: 3/24, 3 total
No baddies on report (anymore)
Income: 80K
Other highest CL: 11K
No Chase Accounts
Thoughts? Thanks in advance.
@Kraven_Moorewood
Requested a CLI last weekend and they grilled me over a Charged Off that happened 13yrs ago. It wasn't even from Chase, it was from WAMU but Chase bought em so I guess that makes it a charged off from Chase.
Any alerts yet?

Forget lenders you burned in the past if you get back in its never going to be the same for that reason alone I wouldnt bother personally.
There are banks such as Cap1 and even NFCU if you pay them back that will treat you the exact same. There are people on this forum that burned Cap1 in BK that have higher limits now than they did pre-BK.
Chase and Amex are probably the two worst though if they were burned.
Don't give up just yet, call the reconsideration line and explain the situation, you already have the HP. My wife got the C$R and I got the C$P respectively even though we burned them in the BK. Just search for my user name for full complete details. good luck.

azguy13 you're right !
I wait for the day that we read someone was able to get back in with Chase or Amex within just a couple of years. We need more BK friendly banks like Cap1 haha
