I'm debating applying for Chase slate edge because of BT offer but don't want HP if not going to be approved... if approved even if starting limit is lowish, I have a CFU with $2200 CL that I've read can be transfered between chase cards. Is there a limit on when you can do this? If theoretically I got 1k for a SL from chase slate can I just add $1500 over from CFU? What would be my chance of approval since slate is for "fair credit"? Current utilization 55% (14k/26k) trying to get more balance to 0% apr through BT (currently can have around 6k at 0% through citi, disco, cap1)
EX 689 1/6, 1/12, 0/24
EQ 699 2/6, 0/12, 0/24
TU 695 1/6, 0/12, 2/24 (will age out in 4/24 and 8/24)
applied for and approved this month for citi diamond and cap1 savor one, should I wait?
The cards you applied for this month may not show yet if they haven't statemented. I am not certain if Cap 1 or Disco post to your report immediately. I don't believe CITI does.
If approved, yes you can move CL's with Chase and I "think" the rule is once every 30 days...so if approved, you could move those around though Chase does have some limitations on how much you can move so if they are okay with a CFU with a $700 CL, moving would be option. I don't hold a CFU so I can't speak to that.
Based on your scores, I would think Chase "may" choose to pull more than 1 CB and they'll see your recent INQ's. Chase changed to SP CLI's a year or so back...have you asked about an increase lately? That may not solve your 0% BT though
Yea I tried a CLI through the website because I read it was SP but got denied. Makes me pretty timid on applying for the slate especially if they could do a double pull. Citi oddly did pretty quickly add to my report for all three, Cap1 didn't yet. Citi only did HP from EQ and Cap1 did triple hard pull. I also can't find a chase prequalify page that works, citi has one so might double dip there for another BT card but from looking around if they approve a second quickly it is often 1k limit. It seems some people that got 10k limit from citi turn around and apply for another citi and get 1k CL. I'm trying to find a TU pull card that has a prequalify site and 0% BT promo but can't find any other than credit unions. Barclay's has some 0% BT but no prequalify tool.
Makes sense...
I will add...you can call Chase and ask if your eligible for a Soft Pull CLI and they will attempt to process for you.
Online I was NOT eligible...I called and scored on both Chase accounts on the same.
Doesn't hurt to call them.
What about who you bank with? I think BofA may be slightly easier without the rules and has BT offers but which CB is pulled would be based on your location...
Good Luck
I bank with Wells Fargo as they were my first card, active cash card, and just kept the Checking account there for ease of use. I do have a BoA customized rewards card already, I'm slightly hesitant with them because I think they did a HP EX on me 6/23 for a CLI I tried online, got denied, I was at $4500 CL and think I asked for $5500. Definitely not worth a HP and I didn't really think about it when I did it... I'm in NJ btw. My only real draw to Chase right now is I'm assuming if approved anywhere it would be low SL, but with Chase I can move some of my 2200 CL from CFU to Slate for BT. I did a lowes sync preapproval though and got 6000 SL, no 0% BT though so would only help boost score by raising CL and lowering util.

Understood....well than perhaps...versus online, visit a banker to apply in branch. Don't do this over a weekend. During the week, they can make a call for you to help nudge it along if it's not an auto-decline and IF it's an auto-decline, they can also make a call to see what else can be done. If you were in a better state, I would say roll the dice online but I am not confident so get as much help as you can. Does the CFU have a 0 balance? If so there's nothing stopping you from closing and moving all to the new account to give you more CL. It'll still report for 10 years and that won't affect your aging if you need more than they may be willing to extend. In other words...get creative.
