Hi everyone. I'm interested in your thoughts here.
I have a pre approval for both the CSP and CSR with set APRs, but my points are all with Amex, so I'm not too interested in either of those right now. I am, however, wanting to add a United Explorer card to my arsenal since im in a United hub and that's the airline I fly domestically. I use Amex points for international trips. I don't have any pre-approvals for United cards right now. Here is some data:
Chase Freedom Unlimited$35/$1,000, open for 6.5 years
Barclays View: $119/$2,000, open for 6.5 years
PayPal credit line: $35/$2,500, open for 5.5 years
Amex Gold charge card: $1,200/NPSL opem for 3.5 months
B of A Auto: $15,000/$16,000, open for 1 month
Income: $56k+
Inquiries: 2 (both in last 3ish months)
Lates: 5 from 6 years ago, none with chase, 4 30-day and 1 60-day
What are your thoughts with no pre-approval for that card?
If you don't have anything reporting lthat Chase doesn't take into consideration as part of the preapproval process but which trigger an auto-denial upon application like a BK7 your odds are going to be good.
No bankruptcies here! Thanks for your input.
Just as an update, I applied for, and was approved for an Amex BCE shortly after making this post. Since I was already in with Amex for a few months, there was no hard pull.
Today, I applied for, and was approved for the United Explorer card for $10,200 and 18.49%. I now have all the cards I'm interested in, so I'm done applying for a while. I already posted in the approvals forum for both cards.
