I am currently 4/24 and 4/12 (will be 2/12 in a week) for credit cards. I want to get a new credit card and cannot decide whether to apply for two this month and then stay in the garden for this year or just get one card. Last year, I opened 4 cc's:
March 2021 - Apple and Chase Freedom
August 2021 - Chase Sapphire Preferred
November 2021 - AMEX Gold
I am looking into the Cap One Venture X, Amex Delta Platnium or WOH CC. I am weary of the triple hard pull from Cap One and am not sure that they will approve me with all my newly opened accounts. I am a big Hyatt and Delta fan so it makes sense for me to get their cards. I am curious if it is a bad idea to get the Delta Platnium and the WOH on the same day or if Chase will see that in 3 month when they review accounts and close my account. I was planning on applying for the Delta first because it is most likely a soft pull and then the WOH card. Thank you!
I actually applied for two chase cards at the same time when I ws 4/24. Not a peep from chase. I applied first for the swa priority and then two days later heard they were discontinueing the chase freedom and worried that I would lose the 5x for Costco went and applied for that got both

Yes, but how long ago was that? These days, with the economy uncertain and COVID still lingering, lenders are more twitchy. Also, Chase is known to SP reports up to 3 or so months after approval to make sure you're not excessively seeking credit and have even been known to shut down accountsn within that timeframe.
OP, for the reasons I stated above, I'd tread cautiously and maybe app for one card every few months or so.

I would prioritize the CCs that would be of long term value first.
You can definitely try applying for Chase WoH and then AmEx Delta Platinum -- even together (as long as you're not applying for anything else for while). If you have confirmed that you're at 4/24, then at least you'll be able to clear the 5/24 hurdle. As far as Venture X, I would hold off. You've likely opened too many CCs for their taste in the past 12-24 months... then, there's that infamous triple pull. Your decision, of course. But, if it were me, based on some of the preliminary details you've shared, I would not try Capital One at this time. But, if your motto is 'YOLO' (given the SUB will change soon), your call.
