Anyone has any insight about applying for a Chase product while having a BK reporting? I could not find any concrete info on the forum. I would like to apply for either United, Southwest, or Amazon. About 10 inquiries, 60k income, about 4 new accounts that have not reported yet, scores TU 714, EX 704, EQ 676, BK discharged in 2011.
Chase from what ive read isn't very bk friendly
I will pass then and wait until the BK falls off in 2018. Thanks for the input.
Was approved for Chase Freedom on recon 2.5 years post BK7. I answered "yes" to having a prior BK.

@I agree with @Scupra. If you didn't burn Chase, you should be able to get a card from them. There are several people on here that have BK and still got approved for their card. But if you did burn them then that is a different story.
Maybe I can help you here. My BK was discharged Nov 2012. NO Chase accts IIB. I appd for Freedom and was denied. Tried to recon denied. Contacted EO via mail. Contacted earlier this week by someone from EO. She explained to me that CHASE does not automatically deny based on having a BK and that they look at Utiliz, new accts, inquiries etc. She stated that if I re-apply once my BK is 3yo I may very well be approved for a Freedom card as my UT is low. I do have a lot of inquires right now so that will allow time for them to drop off. Surprisingly enough I got a VM yesterday from another person at EO and I am wating for them to call me back. I will be shocked if they re-consider my req for a Freedom card but lets see. I do have a current CHASE auto loan and several prev paid CHASE SL accts. I think you have a slight chance in the 3-5 yr range and an even better chance at 5yrs+ post BK.
Heres the thing....
Chase frowns heavily on BKs - they just do. Even with BK recently discharged the odds are still against U. To the extent that 'some' hav been able to get approved within a relatively short period post BK (ie: 2-3yrs) is YMMV @ best. Consider for example that many of those approvals came via recon and in a significant number of those instances more than one recon was required. In other words just bcuz some hav been able to successfully recon (within shorter time span) doesnt mean U will necessarily hav similar results.
The 3-5yr range is standard and bear in mind this assumes the BK didnt involve Chase. If they were however part of the BK in ? then U hav diminished your chances of approval much more significantly (u can do the math). There are those who yearn for a particular card so much that they find themselves jumping thru all sorts of unnecessary hoops on the chance they 'may' be approved. This is a counterproductive measure. Ever hear the saying, "playing the hand you're dealt"? Given that there are more BK friendly lenders to consider its pointless to stay stuck on ANY particular lender as to support some prestige longing (generally speaking not OP specifically).
The decision of course is ultimately yours but please dont feel pressed n2 making a decision based on someone else's success. U ultimately need to take honest appraisal of your own situation and determine the impact/risk involved of a possible denial. Once you've done so it'll make the decision that much easier to process. Good luck going forward.
